Great stuff. I heard from a friend that IBM isn't going to integrate Sametime with Cisco.. whereas Microsoft is. WTF?? Tell me it aint true !

@10 - Unfortunately, you have to be more specific. The Sametime Limited feature of Notes doesn't allow you to use any plug-ins.

However if you are running Standard or Advanced inside Notes, then you can. You can get the plugin here:

Does Sametime version 8 that is bundled with LN version 8 not have a Quick Response plug in? I grew very dependent on it in version 7.5 and really miss it! Anyone know if a plug in exists?

I am actuallythe IBM resource on this rpoject and I architected and built the whole Greenforce Tracker system (every server, except the Directory servers).

Army UI is in the works, we will probably use the Epilio skin plug-in that Carl Tyler created - looks great and flexible.

Actually, the one thing everybody is hankering for is video ... the Army loves it and it is slowly being allowed on general desktops. We are live since June, running on 8.0.1 since October 4th and growing like mad.

I didn't even know the Phillies chant existed until a couple weeks ago. No one ever did it. LOL

LOL on Eskin. It is really funny. I'll give him props for knowing the finer points of the games, and out-scooping the other reporters in town. But, when it comes to managers and coaches, I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about. He skewered both Terry Francona and Charlie Manuel and, now, both have been winners.

Be that as it may ... it is a day to celebrate. Enjoy it we deserve it!

@4 Perhaps the Swedes should unilaterally declare ice hockey national championships in Sweden to become the World championship. Being that I am a native from Scotland, I hererby declare that the curling and golf world championship titles are to be owned by Scottish players only :).

@1 The 8.0.2 release is on track to ship in November. Fix list will be published at or around GA. We will do anoher posting when its posted.

The main other new feature in 8.0.2 is IPv6 support.

Tim, hadn't thought about streaming WIP... great idea. I might even be able to handle Eskin today! I was in town this past weekend - never heard a Phillies chant at an Eagles game before - and was really tempted to stay the week in case there was a parade. Alas, the kids had to get back to school and I had other obligations.

Hey John ... As a fellow Phillies fan and life long resident of South Jersey, (I also grew up a Red Sox fan but that is a whole other story) let me tell you some of the things you are missing.

First, I went over to Broad & Oregon last night and it was wild. To put it in perspective, it was kinda like the Mummers Parade but MUCH better.

WIP has been awesome all day. They stream now so maybe you want to check that out if you haven't.

I'm not sure if anyone will be streaming the parade. If I hear something, I'll let you know.

Little known fact about yesterday's date that I thought was interesting. It was the 426th anniversary of William Penn landing in Chester. Kind of apt, don't ya think?

@1 - Karl-Henry - Not sure how many Swedes played in the WS but the World Baseball Classic tournament starts on 09 March 09. You can always check out the Swedish Baseball Foundation for the latest goings on:

I just heard a little about the World Series in the news the last few days, I guess I totally missed it. I am not a big sports fan, though.

How did my native Sweden do? Or German? I understand that since baseball is mainly a US sport, that is why american teams seems to win all time time, but from my son I understand that baseball is very popular in Japan, perhaps they will win the world series in a few years? What do you think?
